Arrochar Alps Backpack (last one 2014)

For about the last 4 christmas holidays the weather has been terrible,so this year when there was a small window of high pressure I quickly decided on a trip too Scotland,it was a small window of 3 days,so I contacted Peter and we went for it as long as we were back for the Monday as he had too be home.We looked at somewhere that was easy access and with Munros I hadn't done yet,and we came up with the Arrochar Alps,we struggled to find somewhere to park at first the car parks at Arrochar wouldn't allow overnight parking so we parked at the entrance to the old jetty,It was about 1.30pm when we arrived so their was only 3 hrs of daylight left and we wanted to camp as high as we could get,the steep route up through forest worked well and the Cobbler soon came into view.we ended up camping at Bealach a'Mhain we piched just after sunset (which was a  great one ).the pitch wasn't great but it worked,it was a bit windy through the night gusting up to 30mph but eased by morning. We new we wouldn't get a good sunrise from this spot,so left the tents pitched and headed for the summit of Beinn Narnain, we arrived at the summit with prefect timing it was a superb sunrise  ,after loads of photos and video,it was time to head down and pack up their was another 2 Munros to get,the rest of the day was fantastic Scotland at its best blue skies and snow, after Beinn Ime its was a long drop down to Lag Uaine, time was getting on so we dropped the packs and off we went up to Ben Vane.It was a hard slog back up but was well worth it with fantastic views all round, after more photos we quickly headed back down to get the packs.and then the long walk through the forest and back to the car (the only down side to the trip was Peter lost his SLR camera somewhere off the back of Ben Vane) enjoy the Photos and video
